The add-in allows for adding and managing contract playbooks. Contract playbooks contain your preferred clauses (i.e. provisions that comply with your organisation’s policies and standards), as well as alternatives for situations in which you may need to offer your counterparty more favourable terms. All such standard provisions are termed ‘fallback clauses’. Furthermore, the playbooks include additional context and instructions (prompts) for the AI, to guide its detection of clauses in a contract draft and risk analysis.

The add-in comes with several free playbooks, but you can download additional playbooks from the Weagree community website or create your own. Playbooks are saved on your device, and can be managed from within the add-in.

AMANAGING PLAYBOOKS
Managing your playbooks is simple:

1. Open the add-in’s settings.

2. Open the Playbooks menu.

3. All installed playbooks are listed directly below the menu header. There are two options for each playbook:

a. Download the playbook as as JSON file, for example to save it elsewhere as a backup, or share it with your colleagues. You can also manually edit the playbook: JSONs are ‘plain text’ files and can therefore be opened and edited in any text editor (e.g. Notepad).
b. Delete the playbook. This will delete the locally stored JSON file, so be sure that you have a backup safely stored elsewhere or will not need the playbook anymore at all.

B. ADDING PLAYBOOKS
More playbooks can be added in one of two ways:

1. Click Upload playbook to directly add a ready-made playbook. This must be a JSON file in the correct format, so it is strongly recommended that any playbook you upload is derived from an existing, working playbook.

2. Have the AI generate a new playbook based on a draft or model contract of your own:

a. Fill in Contract name. This will be the name displayed in the playbook list and therefore does not need to exactly match the title of the contract.
b. Optionally, enter additional instructions for the AI. For example, you can tell the AI to focus on (or ignore) certain types of clauses or which party will be using the playbook.
c. Click Generate from contract.
d. Select a Word document or JSON file containing the contract text upon which you want to base the playbook.
Note: it may take a few minutes for the AI to finish generating the playbook. Once completed, it will automatically be added to the playbook list in your add-in.
