By default, the phrase “Select or enter the details of [party reference]” appears above the party picker in a questionnaire. This party selection question can be customised for each template and even for each party, however.
1. In the Template Creation Tool, click on the template name at the top of the outline.
2. Click Modify the Questionnaire elements (question formulation, default answer or explanation).
3. Open the Party-related questions subtab and select the applicable party from the Party reference dropdown menu.
4. Insert the new question in the Question field.
Note: erasing a custom question will reset the default question.
5. Optionally, add an explanation or attention notice like you would for a regular question.
6. Optionally, tick Force a Q&A answer if an entity from the party database must always be selected before a document can be generated.
7. Optionally, for the Preanswered field, select an entity from the party database. For the party chosen under Party reference, this will override and hide the party picker in the questionnaire.
Note: to clarify, the entity selected here will be automatically inserted for the appropriate party tag (e.g. [weagreecrm.1.relation.name] or [gq.Party1]). You can use this, for example, if your organisation consists of only one legal entity and therefore the ‘own party’ to the contract will always be the same – meaning it would be redundant to ask the user to select that entity in every contract. In case of multiple potential entities, you can also combine this with a question that inserts one or more particular party tags. Said question would then act as a substitute for the traditional party pickers.
8. Click Save & close.
