Just as contract templates do for building blocks and clauses, project templates allow for contract template and subproject inclusion questions. These can be either straightforward questions whether to include such a component or not, or substantive questions relating to the project or its contract templates. The latter would determine which components are required for a specific project. For example, in the case of a facilities agreement, the question whether it concerns a bilateral or syndicated loan may decide whether or not contract templates for a fee letter and intercreditor agreement are needed.
Adding inclusion questions through the Template Creation Tool is simple.
1. To add an inclusion question to a single project template component (and everything it contains):
a. Select the contract template or subproject (imported project templates included) that requires an inclusion question.
b. Click Trigger an inclusion question (to insert this item, or not).
c. Click Edit the inclusion question.
d. Fill in the Question field and Q&A answer text field.
e. Optionally:
i. Insert an explanation (this will be presented in the questionnaire as a tooltip under an exclamation mark icon).
ii. Tick Default value if the selected component and everything it contains should be included by default.
iii. Select an authorisation level if the question should be hidden from users below that level.
f. Click Save.
2. To make the inclusion of a project template component (and everything it contains) dependent on a global question:
a. Select the contract template or subproject (imported project templates included) that requires an inclusion question.
b. Click Trigger an inclusion question (to insert this item, or not).
c. Click Make inclusion dependent on the answer to a global question.
d. Select the applicable global question from the pop-up.
e. Click Make inclusion dependent on the answer to a global question again.
f. For each global answer, choose whether the component should be included or not.
g. Click Save.
Note: the same global question can of course be used for several project template components. As in questionnaires, the project will only ask the global question once.
3. To remove an inclusion question again:
a. Select the applicable component.
b. Click Trigger an inclusion question (to insert this item, or not) once more.
