The Weagree Wizard distinguishes a number of entity types, both for entity management and contract-related purposes. The list of entity types can be expanded and translations may be added for the various user-interface languages. The correct translations will be automatically loaded when selecting a different language from the top of the Weagree Wizard.
On the Administrator page, navigate to Entity management > Entity types.
1. To add a new entity type:
a. Click Insert.
b. Fill in the English name of the entity type (this will be the default translation).
c. Optionally, fill in other translations.
Note: always include the indefinite article (in English: ‘a’ or ‘an’) where applicable, because the full name may be used in contracts (e.g. “Company X, a limited liability company…”).
d. Select the applicable tax payer classification: Taxable entity, Tax transparent, or Individual.
Note: this selection affects how the entity can be managed in Weagree (for example, an individual cannot have shareholders or a board) and how it is presented in organisational charts (tax transparent entities, such as partnerships, have a different colour to distinguish them from regular shareholders and subsidiaries).
e. Click Save.
2. An existing entity type can be edited by clicking on its name in the list.
3. The order in which the entity types are listed can be changed by clicking the up and down arrows.
4. Click Delete to remove any selected entity type.
