User groups govern access to contract and project templates and to other users’ contracts (as well as entities in the party database sometimes). Organising user groups is therefore critical to managing what content any given user can actually view, edit and create within the Weagree Wizard.
All user groups can be managed as follows on the Administrator page under Users and licence > User profiles > User groups.
1. To create a new user group:
a. Click Insert.
b. Insert a user group name.
c. Click Save.
2. An existing user group’s name can be edited by clicking its name in the list.
3. Each user profile should have access to at least one user group. This can be configured from the User profiles subitem in the navigation on the left, but it’s also possible to directly assign one or more user profiles to any user group from this screen:
a. Select the user group by clicking its name.
b. Click Insert user profiles. A selection pop-up will appear.
c. Select the target user profile(s).
d. Click OK.
4. Any user profiles assigned to a given user group can also be easily copied to another user group (so that the user profiles will be assigned to both user groups) or moved (so that they will now be assigned to another user group):
a. Select the user group by clicking its name.
b. Click on either Copy user profiles or Move user profiles, as appropriate. A selection pop-up will appear.
c. Select the target user group.
5. To remove any user profile from the user group:
a. Select the user group by clicking its name.
b. Select the target user profile(s) from the list on the right.
c. Click Delete user profiles.
Note: this will only delete the connection between the user group and the user profile. The user profile itself will not be deleted.
