Running a contract playbook starts the AI-contract review. The AI will analyse the draft contract (opened in Word) to the selected contract playbook to detect clauses and perform a risk analysis on each clause. Before this can begin, you need to set the parameters of the review.

1. Open the draft contract and the AI-contract review playbooks add-in (in Word: Home > Weagree > Weagree playbook review).

2. From the add-in’s main menu, choose Playbook review.

3. Select the appropriate contract playbook.

4. The contract playbook will load default general settings. To check and change them, click the contract playbook settings (gear) icon in the top-right:

a. Schedules and annexes may be included or excluded from the AI-contract review.
b. You may have the AI check the draft for broken cross-references.
c. Change the Show risk rating setting if you want to hide found clauses the AI has deemed acceptable (marked green) or non-preferred (marked yellow).
d. When clicking on a clause card, the texts of suggested fallback clauses on that card can either be fully unfolded immediately, or folded up with their text will be truncated (in which case you can unfold them manually by clicking on them).
e. If your contract playbook contains sample clauses in addition to the regular fallbacks, you can choose to display them directly beneath the designated fallbacks.
f. The add-in will attempt to auto-detect the language of the draft contract, but you can override this manually.

You can close the contract playbook settings again by clicking the gear icon a second time.

5. The contract playbook will also load a default review configuration. To check and change it, open the Review context menu:

a. The dropdown menus provide additional context to the AI (Approval level required excepted, which serves an internal administrative purpose). Based on your selections, the AI may favour certain fallback clauses (the variants of any type of clause available in the contract playbook)  or evaluate associated risks differently.
b. The Target fallback level slider indicates the preferred favourability of any fallback clause the AI will suggest using. You may choose to target less favourable fallbacks if you are negotiating from a weaker position, or otherwise have reason to believe it more practical not to propose terms more preferable to your own organisation.
c. By default, all clause types in the contract playbook are selected. You may deselect any type of clause to exclude it from the AI-review. The AI will skip these altogether in its contract review.
Note: the fewer clauses are selected, the quicker the AI completes its contract review. Once the AI is done, you may choose to have it review any or all of the remainder still.

6. Click Run playbook to start the AI-review.

Note: after running a contract playbook, you can start another AI-review either by clicking the Start new review button on the results page or by clicking the Return to home button in the top-right corner.
