Activating Weagree’s key functionalities

The Weagree Wizard distinguishes a number of key functionalities. These cover the main aspects of the application and can therefore be used to either open or close off large parts of the Weagree Wizard, as well as certain special features. Activating (or deactivating) them is very easily done on the Administrator page, via the Key functionalities subitem of Configuration Weagree Wizard:

1. Contract automation
This enables or disables the New contract and My wizard pages, as well as the Contract automation item of the Administrator page. When disabled, users will not be able to create any new contracts and administrators will not be able to create, edit or organise contract automation templates, the clause library, or anything to do with the contract house styles. It is recommended that this is always left on, unless you wish to use the Weagree Wizard only for managing imported or manually inserted contracts, rather than for contract creation.

2. Confidentiality of contracts
Switching this on adds a Confidential slider button to the contract properties and managed contract pages. Users can use it to hide contracts by default from other users. Individual users indicated on the Persons and teams involved sections of the contract properties and managed contract pages will still be able to access the contracts, however. It should be noted that the same effect can be achieved by manually removing all user groups from a contract, even if Confidentiality of contracts is disabled.

3. Versioning and workspace
This functionality determines whether users (with appropriate authorisations) can access a contract’s repository for downloading, uploading and comparing various documents. This access can also be disabled per user role, so it is recommended that any repository restrictions are implemented in that way, rather than by disabling versioning and workspace altogether.

4. External repository url
Enabling this adds the External repository field to the Repository section of the contract properties and managed contract pages. A web address can then be inserted, which will produce a button in the top-left row of the page. This may be useful if additional information or files on a contract are stored outside either Weagree or your regular storage medium such as SharePoint.

5. Approval workflows
This enables or disables the Workflow page and the approval workflow functionality as a whole.

6. CLM (contract lifecycle)
This enables or disables the Contract lifecycle page. When switched off, it will no longer be possible to move contracts from My wizard to Weagree’s CLM, either. Always leave this on if there remain any contracts that need to be managed.

7. Contract analysis
The Weagree Wizard is equipped with AI that – at this time – allows for optical character recognition and low-level analysis of contracts imported into the CLM. It can be used to convert an imported non-editable document to text and map a contract sheet’s CLM fields to parts of the contract’s text. The contract analysis functionality is still in its early stages and will be developed into a much more robust AI solution.

8. Migration service
When switched on, the Migration service subitem of CLM (contract lifecycle management) will appear on the Administrator page, which allows for importing CLM data from other systems than Weagree. Switching this off after running an import will not remove or disable access to any contracts or parties that have been migrated into the Weagree Wizard.

9. Entities management
Enabling this will grant users with appropriate authorisation access to Weagree’s full entity management. Otherwise, only the basic party database (containing the various entities and their basic details) will be available.

10. API integrations
All integrated services can be simultaneously enabled or disabled with this switch, if need be. It is recommended that any configured integrations are only disabled on an individual basis via the API integrations subitem of Configuration Weagree Wizard, however. Note that this switch does not affect their settings, only whether they are actually activated and available or not.
