CLM-managed contracts may contain particularities unforeseen in the admin-defined contract sheet. For that purpose (and for improved searchability of the CLM), we have introduced clause library blocks that can be added to individual CLM-managed contracts or contract sheets.
Like clause library components for questionnaires, CLM building blocks can be easily plugged into a managed contract by any authorised user. Besides simply adding more CLM fields for special cases, this can be employed to quickly retrieve additional details from a contract if circumstances demand. As with CLM contract sheets, it is possible to link CLM building blocks to one or more Weagree contract templates. When such a CLM building building block is then added to a managed contract based on the same template, any extra linked CLM field will be automatically filled in with answers from the original questionnaire.
Admins can also use CLM building blocks for standardisation. If different contract sheets must all provide for managing certain variables, it makes sense to collect those shared variables in a CLM building block and use that for all the contract sheets. This makes them easier to manage and maintain and improves uniformity.
