Although silent since the summer, we have been working hard on keeping Weagree the best end-to-end contracting solution for you. Believe it or not, we manage to keep up with the leaders in the global marketplace of CLM:
While Kluwer’s Legisway is dangling in the last position of Gartner’s Critical Capabilities report for CLM (on almost every use case) published last week, indeed, Weagree keeps alongside the Magic Quadrant CLM-vendors in the top 5. The reason we are not listed is because Weagree is too small for Gartner’s criteria to be included. Yet, based on our self-assessment, we like to think that we can claim a solid CLM top-3 position, propelled by contract creation and well-sustained by post-signature contract management and contract analytics.
Our secret?
- Firstly, the slow pace at which we develop proves to be a key advantage: for more than 18 years, each large Weagree functionality has been designed, developed and tested step-by-step, and therefore embedded deeply, end-to-end, in other functionalities. Advanced features are designed and developed in small sprints, resulting in close alignment with a lawyer’s intuition and day-to-day workflows.
- Secondly, we develop together with large customers: multinationals require specialties in their workflows that challenge us to maximise Weagree’s flexibility (to prevent specialties from reducing user-friendliness). But it is in their enterprise-grade approach that Weagree’s functional flexibility emerges.
- Thirdly, we have never compromised on quality or user-friendliness. We are ‘just’ passionate and dedicated.
We know what user-friendliness means. Not only because Weagree is ‘by lawyers for lawyers’. This summer, with a few customers, we conducted in-depth user-friendliness evaluations. Needless to say, our end-user findings painted Weagree’s roadmap of the past months:
- We expanded Weagree’s AI capabilities (duh – who hasn’t?). It includes LLM-data validation: Weagree’s under-water-screen is now also available in the CLM for an end-user to verify a signed contract’s clause text.
- Weagree CLM (post-signing) is now context-sensitive: only those CLM fields appear on a contract sheet as are relevant for that specific contract.
- We expanded our DocuSign integration: every e-signing transaction is now entirely manageable from within Weagree. Manageable, as in: e-signing transactions can be initiated, monitored, followed up on, and terminated in Weagree. One mouse click. Supported by e-signing-dedicated dashboard widgets.
- Weagree’s entity management was perfected: there are no wishes for the future anymore. E-signing authorisations are anchored in legal entity management and can be updated easily.
- Weagree’s DMS is in close embrace with SharePoint. More about that in a next update.
- Weagree’s end-user dashboard now also contains shortcut-buttons for frequently used features. We introduced a dashboard for admins, including shortcut buttons for their daily admin tasks.
Weagree’s UX is highly adjustable: the entire look & feel of your Weagree portal can be adjusted, including the font.
There is much more of course. Check our past-and-future roadmap.
Our challenge for staying alongside the market leaders is in finding customers willing to work with us on expanding Weagree’s AI capabilities. It appears that few are ready to rely on ChatGPT or AI for their contracting work, let alone help us optimise our deeply integrated AI capabilities. Rather, it is our challenge to convince customers that we are so passionate about Weagree that we are keen to prevent any inconveniences that a customer might encounter when taking their next steps in AI. We just want innovation to be riskless for our customers.
Before Weagree turns 20 years (in 2026), we will be challenging the global number-one position for CLM (pre-signing and post-signature).
