Conditional fields (contract parameters) will be introduced to CLM contract sheets to make them more like questionnaires, with fields appearing or disappearing depending on the end-user’s selections.
Up until now, CLM contract sheets have always been static. The fields they contain for managing (or reviewing) contracts will vary from contract sheet to contract sheet, but for a given sheet, they are always the same. A contract’s actual contents do not affect which fields the end-user sees when managing it. Consequently, not all fields will always be relevant and the relations between fields may not always be apparent.
With the introduction of conditional CLM fields, contract sheets will become fully dynamic. Just like the answer to one question in one of Weagree’s questionnaires can produce one or more specific follow-up questions, so too will the option selected for one contract field be able to show (or hide) one or more other fields. This will make all the difference when dealing with individual contracts, vastly reducing on-screen clutter and improving the end-user’s understanding of a contract’s specifics.
