In addition to automatically filling in basic details such as name and address, CRM data can now be used to fill in other variables of the contract or even include entire clauses. Specifically, whether a party is a legal entity, and if so what type of entity, can determine what text should be inserted. In effect, such party data are used in place of questions that should not need to be asked explicitly. For example:
* if the party is a person, the appropriate pronouns will be used throughout the contract (e.g. he, she or they);
* a GmbH & Ko KG (limited partnership managed by a legal entity) will result the managing party being included in the party block and signature block;
* depending on whether the party is a company, an association or partnership, the contract will refer to ‘shareholders’, ‘members’ or ‘partners’, respectively.
