For large, complex transactions (projects), such as M&As or LMA credit facilities, the admin can now create complete templates. Such preconfigured projects – project templates – consist of multiple linked contract templates that would be needed or at least useful for that type of transaction. They may even incorporate other project templates. Upon initiating a transaction using a project template, the end-user is asked basic project-level questions to include (project) templates that are relevant and exclude any that are not.
All Q&A data fields in the project’s contract templates can be linked to each other quickly and intuitively (if set up properly: fully automated, even) across the project template. The linking of Q&A data fields prevents (functionally) the same questions from being asked multiple times as the end-user completes the various questionnaires in the project.
For example, if the closing date of a financing transaction is postponed by a week, the end-user only needs to update this Q&A-question in one template to achieve the same effect in all linked contract templates.
