During the AI-contract playbook review, the AI will attempt to match all the selected clause types from the playbook to parts of the contract draft. If it finds a clause, it will mark the full text and perform a risk analysis at the hand of the playbook and any additional parameters provided. The results are shown upon completion of the review.
However, AI are not infalliable, and clause detection can sometimes (partially) fail. The identified and marked text might not cover all the relevant text, or include text that actually is not relevant. It is even possible that the AI has marked entirely the wrong text, or that it has found nothing at all when it should have. Such errors can impact the risk analysis and must therefore be corrected. It is therefore important to always confirm that the AI has found and marked the right sections of text.
1. The full list of clause cards is initially collapsed. Click Clauses above the Review context menu to expand the list. The list may be subdivided into clusters of clauses that are related or (broadly) fall into the same category. These clusters will initially be collapsed as well.
2. For a found clause:
a. Click Go to on a clause card to jump to the section of text identified by the AI. This will select the entire text that the AI believes constitutes the indicated clause.
b. Inspect the selected text. If this is incorrect, first select the actual text.
c. Click the title of the clause card to expand it. This will reveal additional buttons.
d. Click Re-select and confirm when asked. The newly selected text will be marked as the designated clause and the AI will immediately update its risk analysis.
3. For a clause that was not found, you will have to manually search the text. It is generally recommended that you do so after checking all found clauses first, so that by process of elimination finding any missing clauses will be easier. If you do find a clause that the AI was not able to, go through steps b through d above to correct this.
